If you feel like cycling, you can choose to depart from Zest OK Auckland, or hire a bike there’s cycle paths from the city along the Tamaki Drive Promenade to Mission Bay a great way to get exercise as well as taking in Auckland’s beautiful scenic harbour.

A short walk from Zest OK Auckland you’ll find yourself in Auckland’s iconic K’ Road (short for Karangahape Road if you’re looking at street signs). A road famous for its diverse culture, vintage and streetwear stores, unique cafes, restaurants, bars and clubs. It is a hive of activity, a place to enjoy good food is at Bestie Café and try their delicious flatbread, well worth a visit.
If you’re looking for an epic night out, K’ Road by night offers an equally diverse range of range of entertainment; Cabaret-style restaurant, karaoke bars, popular clubs and local pubs with live music; there’s plenty to choose from.
Escape city life and head to Waiheke Island for an unforgettable day trip. Catch Fullers 360 ferry and enjoy 40 minutes of beautiful views of Auckland CBD and Rangitoto, Motutapu and Motuihe Islands. If you love wine, beaches and hiking, this is the island for you! Check out the many vineyards and cellar doors, and do a little wine tasting (it’s what Waiheke is famous for… it will be a crime to skip this); try the local eateries, chill out at Oneroa Beach or go for a little hike. With so much to see and do, plan your trip in advance.

If you have a few days in Auckland, we can’t recommend Rangitoto Island enough. The youngest island in the Hauraki Gulf and the last and largest volcano to be formed in Auckland. Explore the lava fields, where heat can still be felt, incredible views, lava caves, and beautiful beaches. What more could you ask for?
Day trips to the island take the Fullers 360 ferry for $39 adult (return) from the Ferry terminal and be ready for a great day.
Tip: Be sure to pack a water and snacks and wear good closed toe shoes. Last ferry back is at 4.30pm on weekdays and 5pm during the weekend and public holidays. Whatever you do, don’t miss the last ferry off the island or expect to pay a very expensive water taxi to come and get you.
